My Daily Readers
About a year and a half ago, a dear friend gave me a beautiful leather-bound edition of The Daily Stoic. I started reading it in the mornings. At first, I didn’t read it daily and I still don’t do it consistently, but I read it as often as I can remember.
Then, I added another book, Streams in the Desert, which was gifted to me by a different dear friend 10 years ago. I haven’t been reading it regularly or often enough, though.
A few years ago, I discovered Robert Greene’s books and began reading some of them. I found out he has a daily reader too, The Daily Laws, so I got it.
Later, I came across another daily reader by John C. Maxwell. I’ve always liked his concise writing style, where he tells a story and then gets straight to the point. So, I picked up The Maxwell Daily Reader as well.
I thought reading four daily readers would be harder than just one, but for some reason, I’ve become more consistent with them now than when I only had one book.
I might even be able to add another daily reader. Do you have any suggestions?
